I’ve just spent the last 6 weeks living on and off in this utopian far away country called Norway, and it is f*#$ing fantastic!
Initially I didn’t even think a magical place like this could exist. Just like a fairytale, Norway happens to get almost everything right. Every day I stumble across all sorts of reasons why Norway is awesome, here’s 23 one of them.
But before that, remember… There are Reindeers and bloody Polar Bears.
Norway offers free education for residents and foreigners. You can even study in English at most universities around Norway.

The location of this characteristic tourism photo opportunity, Trolltunga is a well known Norwegian geographical icon. Absolutely stunning views of the beautiful landscape make for a great selfie to inspire envy in your friends back home, that is if you can make the hike there.
6. Western Fjords.
Everyone loves a Fjord. I do, you do, we all do. It just so happens that Norway has plenty.
Even the little fishing villages look beautiful. This mini island is located on a tiny spit of land so far away from the rest of the world, though it’s well worth the effort to visit apparently.
8. Sun all day during the summer.
During the summer, the sun is out all night.
It just so happens that Norway is probably the biggest contributor of beautiful landscapes in the world. Closely followed by New Zealand.
The Norwegian law ‘Allemannsrett’ means that anyone can camp anywhere that isn’t a public recreational park or public property. Head out into the wilderness just about anywhere and you’ve got the perfect outdoor experience infant of you.

16. Has the worlds biggest sovereign fund.
Norway has saved the most amount of money. They have a sovereign fund of almost 1 trillion dollars!
So there’s this bizarre end of school, coming of age tradition. Kids save up money to chip in and buy a bus right before their end of year exams. They spend 3 weeks partying and drink on this bus while a professional hired driver drives them around their city, stopping off to pick up supplies and booze… Crazy Scandinavians.
18. Everyone speaks english.
Life’s too short to learn Norwegian, simply because everyone already speaks English.
19. Prisoners have internet in their cells.

21. In 2008 donated US1$ billion to help the Amazon.
Look, just all-round great guy Norway over there, donating $1,000,000,000 to conserve the Amazon Rainforest. They were the first country to commit to the international fund to help Brazil save the Amazon Rainforest.
22. Everyone’s beautiful and healthy
Look, i’ll admit it. Everyone here is beautiful, tall and athletic… Literally everyone…
23. Free health care.
At the end of the day, who doesn’t love free health care. Norway’s is some of the best in the world and it’s paid for by the state.
It’s fair to say that I want to live in this utopian country some day.
